“2nd International Workshop on Invasive Plants in the Mediterranean Type Regions of the World” was held in Trabzon between 2-6 August 2010. The Workshop was co organized by Council of Europe, European Environment Agency, Turkish Republic Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Igdir University.

As it is known, the world horticultural expo is going to be held in Antalya in 2016. While the preparatory works for Expo 2016 Antalya is processing, the national participation of Turkey in Floriade 2012 is advanced.
